“WARCRY” is one of the newest tracks on Chase Atlantic’s deluxe album, “Lost in Heaven (High as Hell).” The two new songs feel like natural extensions of the album, yet stand strong on their own. In an interview with Artist Friendly, the band revealed that these tracks act as a bridge, hinting at an evolution toward their next musical style. They have explored pop, alt-R&B, hip-hop, and electronic elements.

The song opens with a familiar intro of their style, but Mitchell quickly jumps in with a driving bass and a fast-paced beat. A cinematic quality emerges during the chorus, where the music rises and builds before restarting. I especially appreciate subtle sound effects like the lion’s roar after the line “Welcome to the jungle, just try to survive. This ain’t a song, it’s a war cry,” as it perfectly underscores the song’s intense mood.

At the bridge, the energy settles like gathering storm clouds with thunder sound effects before blooming into an almost EDM/trap-esque beat. The mix of their voices woven into the music remix adds texture, though I wish this section lasted longer or appeared earlier for better balance. The production is layered and intense, with effects and distorted vocals emphasizing defiance and resilience.

Lyrically, it feels like a direct challenge to anyone trying to imitate the band’s style, like an assertive statement of originality and strength. Personally, I’d love to hear more of Mitchell and Christian experimenting with rapping in future songs; I think they have the skill to pull it off, and it could add a compelling new dimension to their sound.
