“Mom… I’m sorry.”
It’s rare to see such emotion conveyed so effectively yet so simply; we have all been here and we all know the weight of apologizing to our mothers. Why do we lash out against the person who only wants the gentle best for us? From this act, how do we find forgiveness in ourselves? And how, God willing, do we find forgiveness in the misty-eyed gazes of our mothers? These questions are hard to answer and require plenty of introspection, which is just as painful. If only there was an easy solution…
Luckily, the flowchart in this article will seek to answer these questions situationally and thoughtfully, aiming to save you some work the next time you have to say, “Mommy? Sorry.” And if you aren’t on good terms with your mother, don’t worry; in using this flowchart, you might find a couple of new moms along the way… ;)
